Privacy, accuracy, and how the score actually works.
How safe is a third-party iOS keyboard?
Walter’s keyboard runs in Apple’s sandbox and only sends text to our servers when you tap Humanize or Detect. It does not read or transmit what you type in other apps in the background, and short actions are processed on-device. You can review exactly what’s handled in our privacy policy.
Does the keyboard log what I type?
No. We don’t log keystrokes. The keyboard only sends text to our API when you tap a tool button, nothing in the background.
Will it work offline?
Partly. Short humanize and detect actions run on-device and work offline. Longer text and full AI-probability scores need a connection, since they call our API.
Is the app kid-safe?
Walter is a writing tool built for general and student use, not for young children. It contains no objectionable content, but accounts follow our standard terms, so we recommend it for ages 13 and up.
Are mobile humanizer outputs the same quality as web?
Yes. The app calls the same humanizer and detector models as the web app and Chrome extension, so output quality and detector-bypass results are identical across every device.
